(Gardendale, Ala.) July 19, 2024– Bill Noble Park hosted its’ first Rec World series event on July 10ththrough July 13th where youth recreational programs had All-Stars teams trying to win it all and take home the first-place trophy.

To start off the week, a skills camp was hosted with different events like a home run derby and around the horn to spark some friendly competition between the teams before the actual tournament started. Awards for first, second, and third place were given out to different individuals during an opening ceremony that took place on the Bill Noble Park football. Opening Ceremonies was not just about recognizing the teams, it consisted of a dance party with a live DJ, a coach’s lip sync battle, and trading pins between teams as a keepsake. “The luxury of having the opening ceremonies and skills competition taking place before the tournament is what the teams look forward to each year and making it happen all in one location was essential to creating such a fun atmosphere for everyone involved” said Jame Baker, National Director of All American Youth Sports.

“All American Youth Sports, World Series 2024 was the absolute best world series event that the rec program has ever been a part of, the location was absolutely phenomenal, the staff was amazing to work with. The teams from all over the southern states had an absolute blast” said Dennis Owens, CEO of All American Youth Sports.

The fight for first place started bright and early Thursday morning with a day full of competition and lasted until Saturday night. “Throughout the weekend Bill Noble Park hosted 45 softball All-Star teams spanning across the southern states from Louisiana to Georgia. The City of Gardendale really showcased its southern hospitality to all of the teams. My team and I thought the event went great and we would love to have the event back in the future.” said Jesse Newsom, Bill Noble Park General Manager.

“After receiving the feedback from the teams and our staff, Bill Noble Park is nicest venue they have ever played or worked at for this type of event. Everyone had nothing but good things to say about the venue and the staff involved in making the weekend happen” said Baker.
